Logaga Lwa Ditiragalo Cultural Television Series
Logaga lwa Ditiragalo is a cultural exchange television program that aims to promote cultural practices and ideas amongst people from diverse cultural backgrounds in Botswana. The program will have twenty participants, with ten males and ten females, selected from Batswana citizens aged over 21 years.
Casting Call
A casting call will be announced through various media platforms. The idea is for the interested participant to vote as many times as possible to qualify. Every month one person who has smsed the most from each network provider will be picked. That means 3 people would be picked each month for 6 months.
For 6 months, the three most voted participants each month will make it to the final twenty of logaga la Ditiragalo contestants.
Two suitable host ethnic Cultures will be identified in Botswana. We will then move to plan logistic preparations for people involved in the program to ensure a smooth and successful production.
Accommodation for the participants during the filming period will be arranged. This includes securing suitable lodging, furnishing it with necessary amenities, and ensuring that it is safe and comfortable for the participants, also guaranteeing access to meals and drinks throughout the filming period. It is important to note that we will stick to host culture’s food and amenities such as traditional dishes, housing, and clothing, as a means of preserving host culture’s true essence. This will provide a real connection to the past and be a way to showcase the richness and diversity of Botswana’s culture to the viewer.
We will ensure that the participants are always safe and secure, by providing appropriate security measures and medical support, as well as ensuring that filming locations are safe and well-maintained.
Moreover, we will arrange transportation for the participants to and from the filming locations, as well as for any necessary travel during the show.
The twenty contestants will be split in to two groups of ten members per group, with an equal number of males and females per group, each of the 2 groups will have one disabled person as a member. Each group will spend 20 days at a host culture place. During this time, the participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the host culture, learn about their customs, traditions, and way of life.
After 20 days the two groups will alternate between the two selected cultural hosts. They will be judged by viewers looking at the group that is progressing better as far as learning and interaction with the two host cultures is concerned. It is expected that in this period of 40 days Batswana vote for the overall best performing group.
